John Addison is a popular speaker who has conducted over 1,000 workshops in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His speeches have been hosted at conferences including the Renewable Energy Finance & Investment Summit, Fuel Cell 2008, the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, the American Society of Training and Development, and Earth Day at the San Jose Museum of Science.

For three years, John Addison has focused on writing and speaking about clean transportation and clean technology. He is a member of the Western Automotive Journalists and of the Society of Environmental Journalists.

John Addison founded OPTIMARK Inc. in 1992 to provide workshops and consulting for technology firms. Prior to founding OPTIMARK, John Addison was in management at Sun Microsystems. John Addison has taught extension courses at the University of California at Davis and the University of California at Santa Cruz. He has a B.S. in Economics from the University of California at Irvine, where he graduated with honors and published research.

John and his wife Marcia live in San Francisco where they enjoy local walks, bicycle rides, and take renewably powered transit into the heart of this vibrant city. In addition to reducing their use of cars and air travel, they live carbon neutral by offsetting all emissions.
